What exactly is microneedling?

Will the treatment be painful?

We apply a topical anaesthetic cream before treatment to ensure your comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild tingling or light pressure rather than pain. The treatment takes 45 minutes, and any discomfort is temporary and manageable. Your comfort is our priority, and we’ll adjust as needed throughout the session.

What should I expect after my treatment?

Your skin will be red and slightly swollen for 24-48 hours, similar to mild sunburn. You might experience some sensitivity and tightness as your skin heals. Most clients return to normal activities the next day, though we recommend avoiding makeup, exercise, and sun exposure for at least 24 hours to allow proper healing.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients achieve excellent results with 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. However, the number depends on your specific concerns and goals. Deeper scarring or significant texture issues may require more sessions, whilst fine lines might improve with fewer. We’ll create a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.

Can microneedling help with acne scars?

Absolutely! Microneedling is one of the most effective treatments for acne scarring. It breaks down scar tissue and stimulates new collagen production, gradually filling in depressed scars and smoothing uneven texture. Combined with PRP or exosomes, results are even more impressive.
