What's the difference between skin boosters and dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers add volume beneath the skin to fill wrinkles and enhance features, whilst skin boosters are injected into the skin to improve its quality from within. Think of fillers as structural support, and boosters as nourishment. Skin boosters hydrate, stimulate collagen, and improve texture and elasticity rather than changing your facial contours.

Which skin booster is right for me?

Profhilo is brilliant for overall hydration and elasticity, whilst Profhilo Structura targets volume loss and sagging. Jalupro works wonders on deeper wrinkles and under-eye concerns, and Lumi Eye specifically targets dark circles and puffiness. We’ll assess your skin during consultation to recommend the perfect option.

Do skin booster injections hurt?

We use very fine needles and can apply numbing cream for your comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as small pinches rather than pain. The discomfort is brief and manageable, typically lasting just seconds per injection point. The incredible results are absolutely worth the momentary sensation. Your comfort is our priority throughout.

How long do skin booster results last?

Results typically last 6-9 months, depending on the product and your individual skin response. Profhilo and Profhilo Structura usually require two treatments initially, four weeks apart, with maintenance sessions every 6-9 months. Jalupro often need 2-3 treatments. Regular maintenance helps sustain that beautiful, healthy glow.

Can skin boosters help with acne scarring?

Yes! Jalupro is particularly effective for scarring, as its amino acid formula stimulates collagen production to gradually improve textural irregularities. Combined with other treatments like microneedling, skin boosters can significantly reduce the appearance of acne scars. However, deeper scarring may require multiple treatments for optimal results. We’ll assess during consultation.
